Hi,
My I140 was approved from TSC, and 485 sent to NSC (delivered on Jul 24, 2007). Still no receipt, but I140 has the LUD as Jul 28, 2007. Just hope that this means transfer to TSC on Jul 28. Any opinions?

They are not personal checks. So there is no way for me to find if the checks were cashed or not. But attorney said, it takes minimum two weeks. But it looks like many have gotten their receipts.

If we see the history H1B and GC numbers were never increased except 2004 20k inpast 15 years In 2000 it was increasd temporarlily for 4 years.Also EB numbers were never increased except temporary reliefs.If it is increased by Skill bill in current form that is really an acheivement. If there is a possiblity they may increase H1B because that is temorary visa(But in reallity not) and GC numbers may remain same. But if increased to 115k then also cap will be reached in another 1 month because there are more number of Desi companies than number of H1Bs. Thats why they are asking exemptions for MS people and 20% adjustment for every year. We have to wait and see whether congress fall on this trap to do this without analysing the impact.

how to use the spillover is purely an USCIS decision. Only to use the spillover to avoid wastage is a law, which is already in place. Infact USCIS was not doing this top down approach on spill over few years ago, this is a new practice they are following since last Fiscal Year, so I strongly believe if Congressmen/women puts pressure/more request it can be changed to a fair application of visa spillover to benefit all that are in the queue for a long wait.

EAD Renewal Mailed - Jun 21, 2008 for me and my wife.
Received by USCIS - Jun 24,2008
Got the email today(Aug 11) saying 'Card production ordered' for both of us.
Don't know yet whether it is for 1 or 2 Year.

Rolling back dates is so unprofessional :mad: - means those idiots have no idea of how much demand there really is or will be :rolleyes:. This is not a stock price that has to go up or down based on current demand.
Rather than immigration reform. They should clean up USCIS & DOS. get more efficient people in there. Now that the economy is so bad they should be able to get a lot of good people.
Either case, I don't think those Behan Cs at USCIS are going to change the dates for EB3 until they are done going thru all the pending cases. Plus, unless there is searing pain all around there is no need for legislation. So dates rollback maybe a positive sign - a build up for CIR. But who am I kidding?

Aug 12 8AM - Email -> Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.
Aug 12 9PM - Email -> Card production ordered.
Aug 15 - Email -> Approval notice sent (for ME)
Aug 18 - Email -> Approval notice sent for Spouse
Aug 18 - Received I-797C Approval Notice for both me and spouse by USPS. In fact i received 3 original copies of the same approval for me and only 1 for my spouse.
Still waiting for the actual cards to come.

record conversatios with these jack ass employers. It is surprising how much crap and illegal things they tell and do during negotiations. Not sure about the legality, would not harm if you dont use it. We keep seeing news on people getting screwed and then when outed the victim is not usually screwed by the system again.
Also, I wonder if any employment contract not tied to any reasonable time estimate( like 485 - who knows when we will get it) will hold.Its akin to slavery.

We will each individually send flowers to Emilio Gonzalez to be delivered July 10th. There is a suggestion to use a paypal account where we contribute money. However no one has come forward to take over the account so far.
The theme of the note attached to the flowers should be Sympathy or Get well.

I dont have a problem signing 1 yr agreement because my 140 will take at least another 8 months ( Feb 08) and by the time next years budget opens up for good new Jobs its already Mar 08.
But my concern is if my employer wants me to hang on with them till 485 is approved and then 1 more year

If you use AP you enter the US as a "parolee". (Is that how you spell it?).
If you use AVR I believe you enter as an H1B. I would prefer to enter as an H1B
since I have not yet used my EAD or AC21.
Just wondering if anyone on the forum has experience at Ottawa international while returning with either AVR or AP. Also, is there a preference if you have both AVR and AP, what to use to enter back into US? Thanks.
